This holiday season, the 35-year-old "On My Soul" rapper from Philadelphia is assisting nearly two dozen families with imprisoned relatives.
He paid the bail of 20 women incarcerated in the Riverside Correctional Facility in the City of Brotherly Love who otherwise couldn't afford to return home for the holidays.
"It was heartbreaking for me to be separated from my son during the holidays while I was incarcerated," Mill, born Robert Williams, said.
He also gave each of the women a gift card that could be used for groceries or gifts.
Mill said he understands "what these women and their families are going through" because of his own imprisoned experience.
Mill co-founded REFORM Alliance with Jay-Z and Michael Rubin, with the goal of transforming probation and parole by changing laws, systems, and culture to create real pathways to work
