400 million Twitter users’ data containing private emails and linked phone numbers have reportedly been up for sale on the black market.

Some of the big names include Donald Trump, Sundar Pichai, singer Charlie Puth & Salman Khan.

Hacker obtained the private numbers and email addresses by means of an API flaw that Twitter patched was previously linked to a data breach affecting 5.4 million users.

Hacker named "Ryushi" is allegedly selling the claimed data dump on the Breached hacking forum, a platform frequently used to market user data obtained through data breaches.

Hacker warned Twitter and Elon Musk to buy the data before the GDPR privacy law in Europe imposes a sizable fine on them for failing to comply. The price for an exclusive sale is $200,000.

Hacker said: "Buying this data exclusively is your best option to avoid paying $276 million USD in GDPR breach fines like facebook did (due to 533 million users being scraped)"

Hacker explained that disclosing the information to a third party would subject public figures to crypto fraud, phishing, doxxing, and other nefarious activities.
